We are currently seeking a dynamic and friendly Host/Hostess to join our team and be the welcoming face of Seville.

Position: Host/Hostess

Job Summary: As a Host/Hostess at Seville, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, creating a positive and inviting atmosphere. You will manage the flow of reservations, greet guests with a warm welcome, and ensure they have an enjoyable dining experience from the moment they arrive until they depart.

Responsibilities:

1. Guest Reception:
   • Warmly greet guests as they enter the restaurant with a friendly and welcoming demeanor.
   • Manage the reservation book and effectively organize seating arrangements.
2. Reservation Management:
   • Take and confirm reservations, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
   • Communicate effectively with the kitchen and serving staff to manage table turnover efficiently.
3. Seating Arrangements:
   • Escort guests to their tables and present menus.
   • Pay attention to special requests and preferences to provide personalized service.
4. Waiting Area Oversight:
   • Maintain a clean and organized waiting area.
   • Keep guests informed about the status of their tables and estimated wait times.
5. Guest Inquiries:
   • Respond to guest inquiries regarding the menu, restaurant policies, and general information.
   • Handle guest concerns or special requests with professionalism and courtesy.
6. Collaboration with Staff:
   • Communicate effectively with servers and kitchen staff to ensure a smooth and coordinated dining experience.
   • Relay important information, such as special occasions or dietary restrictions, to the appropriate team members.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a host/hostess or customer service role is preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Positive attitude and ability to handle high-pressure situations with grace.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of OpenTable or similar reservation systems is a plus.
